Born in New Zealand in 1971, Mac Ryde graduated from Victoria University in 1992. His path then transitioned into a two-and-a-half-year journey of extensive world travel before he eventually settled in Italy. He established his first Italian studio in Sicily and has since moved his practice to the heart of the country, where he currently works from his studio in Pettino, Umbria.

Mac has maintained a consistent and prolific presence in the international art world. Represented by galleries in New Zealand, Australia, and Italy, he has exhibited his work regularly throughout his career.
