Return and Refund Policy
At Black Truffle Country, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our pieces. We ask that you inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
General Return Guidelines
- 14-Day Policy: We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
- Eligibility: To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn or unused, with tags attached, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
- Process: To start a return, please contact us at info@blacktrufflecountry.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package.

European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. As above, your item must be in its original condition and packaging.
International Returns (Non-EU)
If you are returning an item from outside the European Union (USA, Canada, UK, Norway, Switzerland), please follow these specific guidelines:
- Shipping & Insurance: Except in the case of store errors or transit damage, the cost of shipping the item back to our studio in Italy is the responsibility of the customer. Because we can only issue refunds for items that arrive in their original, salable condition, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing adequate insurance.
- Free Shipping Items: Please note that orders originally sent under a "Free Shipping" promotion do not include complimentary return shipping.
- Non-Refundable Fees: To ensure a seamless delivery, your order was shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Original shipping charges and the courier’s administrative disbursement fees are considered consumed services and are non-refundable.
- Import Duties: Since these funds were paid directly to your local government at the time of import, they cannot be refunded by Black Truffle Country.
Reclaiming Import Duties (Non-EU)
As the Importer of Record, you are entitled to request a refund of paid duties directly from your local customs authority once the item has been returned to Italy.
- Customs Claims: You will need to file a "Duty Recovery" or "Drawback" claim with your local office (such as CBP in the USA, HMRC in the UK, or CBSA in Canada).
- Documentation: We are happy to provide any necessary copies of your original commercial invoice to support your claim.
Essential Labeling for Returns
To ensure your return is processed without delay or additional taxation at the Italian border, the following must be clearly marked on the exterior of the package and the customs form: "RETURNED GOODS - RELIEF CLAIMED" Please also reference your original outbound tracking number. This is essential for Italian Customs to identify the package as a return and avoid secondary fees.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:
- Perishable Goods: Such as olive oil or truffles.
- Custom Products: Special orders or personalized items.
- Sale Items & Gift Cards.
Memberships
If you purchase a Membership, please note that these purchases are strictly non-refundable. For further details on terms, cancellation, and perk availability, please refer to our Membership Policy.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Damaged Goods & Verification Process
We take every precaution to ensure your order arrives safely. In the rare event that an item arrives damaged (including transit damage) or we have made an error in your order, we will evaluate the issue for a replacement or refund.
- Reporting Window: You must notify us at info@blacktrufflecountry.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Verification Requirements: To process a claim with our courier, we require photographic evidence of:
- The external shipping box (showing the label and any damage).
- The internal packaging.
- The damaged item itself.
- Resolution: Once verified, we will provide a pre-paid return label (if the item needs to be returned) or organize a replacement shipment. For international replacements, we will ship via DDP so you incur no additional duty costs.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
