Legal Basis and Purpose of Data Processing

  • Data from Purchases on our Shopify Store (for subscribers only): If you are subscribed to our newsletter and also make a purchase from our online store, we will synchronize certain data from your order with your subscriber profile in Mailchimp.   • Mailchimp: We use Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC) to manage our newsletter and send emails. Because Mailchimp is based in the United States, this involves a transfer of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), which is safeguarded by Mailchimp's parent company's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
  • Shopify: We use Shopify International Ltd. to power our online store. When you make a purchase, Shopify processes your order and payment information. As described above, for our subscribers, Shopify synchronizes certain data with our Mailchimp account. Shopify transfers data internationally in compliance with GDPR, primarily through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other legal mechanisms.

Data Retention Period

We will retain your personal data for marketing purposes for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter. Your data will be kept until you decide to withdraw your consent. If you unsubscribe, we will promptly delete your data from our active marketing lists. We may retain a record of your email address on a suppression list to ensure we do not contact you again in the future. We also periodically review our subscriber lists and may remove inactive subscribers after 24 months of non-engagement.

Description of Data Processing: Our store utilizes Google Merchant Center to list our products across Google services. Data Integration (Linking GA4 and Merchant Center)

Description: Please note that we have linked our Google Analytics 4 account with our Google Merchant Center account. This allows transaction and performance data from Google Merchant Center to be cross-referenced with your behavior in Google Analytics. We use this aggregated information to analyze the commercial success of our product listings and optimize our inventory. No direct, unhashed Personal Identifiable Information (like your name or email address) is combined during this specific linking process without your explicit consent.

Facebook & Instagram Shop Integration (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited)

Description of Data Processing: We use the official Meta integration strictly to synchronize our product catalog with the Meta platform to power our organic social commerce storefront (Instagram/Facebook Shop). We have deactivated active user behavioral tracking (Meta Pixel) on our website storefront.

Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest / Contractual fulfillment to display and provide our product catalog on external sales channels.

Data Shared: Product catalog details. No direct behavioral tracking data, customer matching identifiers, or automated browser event metrics are sent via website cookies.

Mailchimp: The legal basis for collecting your email address and sharing your purchasing data on our MailChimp account is Consent and double opt-in. This data collection is optional and only activated if you subscribe to our newsletter.

International Data Transfers out of the UK
